Wright Brothers Business Park

Wright Brothers Business Park surrounds you with Interstate, Rail and Air Service.

Today's business is increasingly becoming global in nature. Mid-size airports are becoming a part of the worldwide trading process. The Eastern Iowa Airport is ideally located to serve shippers and businesses of all kinds.

The Wright Brothers Business Park consists of 564 acres of land served by intermodal transportation.

Air: Service is available to all major U.S. routes, including 6 cities with international airports. One third of the country's population is within an hours flight from Cedar Rapids. In addition to passenger air service, The Eastern Iowa Airport is also a major air cargo hub, shipping approximately 20,000 tons of cargo annually. Interstate 380 is just over a mile east of the Wright Brothers Business Park. In 1998, I-380 became part of the Avenue of the Saints, connecting Canada to New Orleans. Twenty miles south of the airport, I-380 connects with I-80, a major east-west artery that runs across the United States.

Rail: The area is served by 4 interstate railroads. The Cedar Rapids-Iowa City railroad runs right through the property.

Other Amenities: Wright Brothers Business Park enjoys the designation of Foreign-Trade Zone No. 175.  Land leases for commercial development are available through the Cedar Rapids Airport Commission, thus creating the opportunity for businesses to reduce their initial capital investment on land.

After a nationwide search, our newest tenant, the Seattle-based retailer Nordstrom, Inc. recently finished construction on a 300,000 square foot facility in the business park. This distribution center will handle 98% of their catalog order transactions. Federal Express Corp. has moved into a newly constructed 90,000 square foot air-cargo facility, increasing their available space eight fold.

The Wright Brothers Business Park and The Eastern Iowa Airport are dedicated to seeing your business succeed.
